Live at Digital Hollywood

Digital Hollywood starts today in Santa Monica, CA. The conference and trade show focuses on the intersection of entertainment and technology, and soundtrckr's own Daniele Calabrese will be speaking tomorrow afternoon along with Stephen Jackson, Jason Henderson, Michael Schade, Jennifer Cooper, and self-styled "Mayor of LA" Matt Story. The event will be live-streamed via ultralivetv and AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution.

OpenMusicMedia Toronto #3: Location, Location, Location

On Wednesday, May 12, OpenMusicMedia Toronto will host a meetup and discussion on the intersection of music and location-based services. Keynote speaker, digital music veteran and OpenMusicMedia co-founder Jonas Woost will lead the crowd on a tour of Soundtrckr, Foursquare, Last.fm, Songkick & more, examining their impact on artists, fans and advertisers. The Future of Mobile Advertising @ CTIA

Google-- being Everywhere, Always-- sent Diana Pouliout to CTIA in Las Vegas this week. She's their director of mobile advertising, and today she gave an insightful talk on the future of her field, citing "ubiquity", "mobile web", "location" and "driving actions" as the 4 critical factors in the success of mobile marketing efforts. Very cool stuff, and you can read more about it here.   

CTIA Wireless 2010: Mobile Monday Live

CTIA Wireless kicks off its 25th year tomorrow, and Daniele will be there doing a demo at Mobile Monday Live. He'll be joined onstage by a host of other neat startups, and the demos will be followed by a panel discussion on mobile-y things and the future. It's going to be good fun, so if you're in Las Vegas for the conference stop by and say hello.

From an initial field of 250 startups, soundtrckr has been chosen as 1 of 10 finalists for the Mobile Premier Award in Innovation! 

As we mentioned last week, the MPAs are taking place during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and the award ceremony will be held on February 15 at the Petit Palau of the Palau de la Música Catalana. CEO Daniele Calabrese and COO Ken Manning will be on hand to present soundtrckr to the judges and the public, and in the meantime you can check out what all the finalists are up to on this fun Twitter List. Soundtrckr Nominated for MPA in Innovation!

Soundtrckr has been nominated for the 2010 Mobile Premier Award in Innovation! 

The MPAs are a big deal-- they're the world's largest and most prestigious competition for mobile sector startups, and their media partners include trendsetting giants like TechCrunch and Mashable. All nominees for the Innovation Award are selected by local chapters of the Mobile Monday network, so we're honored and excited to be recognized by our peers.

 

Equally exciting is that the MPAs are taking place at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, a massive international event expecting over 50,000 attendees. 

Everything starts on February 15, in Spain, with all of the culture, food, nightlife, and general Mediterranean seaside ambiance that this entails.
